Dig Your Well Before You're Thirsty
Channeling effort into infrastructure-building when horizons seem clearest - establishing resilience for threats and optionality for opportunities ahead.
Hello!
As we reflect on the past year’s events and celebrate our successes, it’s often tempting to take our foot off the gas pedal and coast - closing our eyes as the wind rushes over our faces.
Although I can personally admit the need to take more moments to celebrate the small wins along the way, I believe one thing that has given us the ability to weather the tough times is using the healthy periods in our business to equip us for future adversity and expansions.
It's "digging your wells before you're thirsty."

What Does That Mean?
It's channeling effort into infrastructure-building when horizons seem clearest - establishing resilience for threats and optionality for opportunities ahead.
This can look like:
Growing financial reserves through strategic savings
Improving systems to stay nimble at a larger scale
Developing team talents and skills holistically
Expanding offerings customers will need “tomorrow”
The Point?
Doing this vital work amid stability builds the capacity to weather storms and capitalize on chances when they emerge.
You're nurturing your business garden during fertile seasons so fruit flourishes for decades, be it feast or famine.
Here’s to digging deep wells during our current warmth to quench inevitable thirst down the road.
Lead with foresight!
